Rooms & Facilities
We currently offer three warm and comfortable en-suite bedrooms in the more modern part of Wainwright House.
Ground Floor
- Sethera – A Double room with King sized bed and en-suite bathroom - twin beds can be substituted if this would suit you better.
First Floor
- Dovera - A generous single room with en-suite shower room (no single supplement).
- Lethera - A twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom. Beds can be converted to a Super King if required.
All rooms are centrally heated and include:
- Satellite Television
- Tea/coffee making facilities
- Hairdryer
- Complimentary toiletries
- Clock radio.
Ironing facilities are available on request.
Our Prices
Accommodation, including full breakfast, is normally £39 per person per night on weekdays and Sunday night, and £44 per person per night on Friday and Saturday. High Season Prices run from June to August and are £46 on weekdays and £50 on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holiday weekends. Winter prices run from December to March and are £36 weekdays and £39 weekends. A £10 supplement per person is charged for a single night stay.
Also as a special bonus, for all of 2023, we are giving all our guests who sign up for it, a Voucher offering a discount of £3 per person per night off any repeat booking in 2023 or 2024.
Please note there is normally a minimum booking of two nights at weekends in high season.
Breakfast
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in our spacious dining room. You can enjoy a choice of a full English breakfast using, whenever possible, locally sourced products from the best that Cumbria has to offer. Alternatively you may prefer a continental breakfast.
We are happy to cater for most special dietary requirements, if notified in advance.
Guest Lounge
After your breakfast, relax and plan your day in the comfort of our large lounge situated in the Georgian part of the building. You can also browse through our growing collection of Wainwright’s own books and memorabilia.
After your day out, sink into our comfy sofas and enjoy the informal friendly atmosphere of a place that has seen nearly two hundred years of families, friends and visitors.
